WELCOME TO THE COVENTRY COLLEGE MENTAL HEALTH VAULT

A comprehensive initiative designed to support our pool learners with their mental health.

Welcome!

The Vault Is A Digital Suite Of Mental Health Support Tools To Empower Our Learners With Their Collective Mental Health.
1 in 4 of us will experience mental health difficulties each year and with this, it is important that we all take time to look after our mental health.

Mental health does not discriminate. Whatever your colour, gender, job title, income, religious persuasion or postcode, we all have mental health and it is just like our fingerprint - completely unique to us.

We aim for all our learners to have a positive learning experience at Coventry College and we recognise that for this to happen, we need to ensure that we are fully supporting you in building and maintaining your mental wellbeing.

The purpose of The Vault is to do just that. It's packed with tips and advice on a whole host of mental health topics.

New content is added monthly and if you feel there is something missing in here, get in touch and let us know and we will add it in as soon as possible.

To get started, just enter your email address in the box below and we will do the rest! Everything is confidential and we will not share your details with anyone else.

Join us on a journey to improved mental wellbeing.

Your mental health is the most valuable asset you have. Protect and strengthen it as much as you can.
Carol Thomas - Principal

What Is Mental Health?

Mental health is defined not just in terms of the absence of a mental disorder but as a state of wellbeing in which every individual realises their own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully and is able to make a contribution to their own community.
(World Health Organisation)

The Mental Health Foundation states:
Good mental health is characterised by a person's ability to fulfil a number of key functions & activities, including:
  • The ability to learn
  • The ability to feel, express and manage a range of positive and negative emotions
  • The ability to form and maintain good relationships with others
  • The ability to cope with and manage change & uncertainty

We have collaborated with specialist psychologists, recognised experts and mental health trainers to identify key challenges and create innovative solutions for The Vault.

Here at Coventry College, we know we have a huge responsibility to all our learners to continually help to build and maintain your mental health.

The Vault is constantly growing and evolving, with new resources added monthly to keep things fresh and relevant to what's happening in society and college on an ongoing basis.

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the urgent need for accessible and anonymous mental health products as people have since increasingly sought out digital options. These services eliminate barriers to early intervention, providing comfort and confidentiality to those in need.

Additionally, digital support also meets the demands of those who cannot or choose not to attend in-person well-being sessions offered.

The Vault is the solution. Accessible anytime. Anonymous sign up. Always growing.
